Fred Hinkelman's Fishroom

Hinkelman is the most senior member of our club and has had super success since he started showing fish at IFGA shows. He is a special addition to our club and through his energy and enthusiasm  (never misses an event or meeting) he is truly showing the way for the rest of us. He keeps a very nice fishroom, with plants and plecos/corys in each tank. In his own words:

"First I started with Guppys after being discharged from the armed service in 1946. Had fish ever since. I'm presently have HB Reds, Reds , Greens, Blues, HB Yellows, Albino Yellows and also holding on to Mauricio Multis for him. I keep long fin corys in all my tanks. I joined the Chesapeake club in 2005  and decided to send fish to shows in 2007. This was after I missed the first two shows. The fish did very well and from the awards they achieved; made me very proud of them. This can be seen on the one photos. [...] I didn't know there was an IFGA or a Chesapeake club until I saw their write up on the computer. I called Bill Sauer and from then on got to be good friends with him and a lot of fish people throughout the States."
